Taking A Train Ride With Santa At Strasburg Rail Road!

The kids and I got to take a magical train ride with Santa at Strasburg Rail Road, in Ronks, PA, this past weekend. We were given tickets to ride Santa’s Paradise Express and explore the many fun things to do. This holiday train runs on the weekend beginning after Thanksgiving until December 20th. When we arrived at Strasburg Rail Road, we saw beautiful Holiday decorations everywhere. Even the trains were looking festive and fun! I stood on a short line to pick my tickets up and it moved super fast. After getting our tickets, we headed in to see Mrs. Claus. My daughter was given a special letterhead to write her wish list to Santa. Mrs. Claus assured her that she will personally be handing all the kids letters to Santa herself. This was such a cute idea and it helped pass some time as we waited for our train to arrive.

Next, we headed to our train. We rode Santa’s Paradise Express! We entered the train and had a seat. While we waited for our train ride to begin, we got to look out the windows at the holiday decorations. The train ride to Paradise, PA and back began and our engineer came around to collect our tickets. Than, Santa arrived! All the kids on the train were so excited. Santa went around and visited with every child and adult. We got to take a picture with Santa and than he handed both the kids a special surprise gift!

After Santa passed through our car, some wonderful musicians came in. They played amazing holiday music on their instruments. Than carolers came in. They were just as amazing! The kids loved the train ride and all the wonderful holiday fun on it.

After the train ride, we headed out to explore the other fun activities. We rode the Tinsel Train, where my son and daughter got to sit up front with the conductor as we rode. We went to the story train and heard a Christmas story. We rode the pufferbelly train, played on the playground and explored the stores. There was so much to do. You can read about all the activities and fun here.

We spent about 4 hours at Strasburg Rail Road. Just exploring and having fun! The kids had such a blast and were asking when we would be going back again.

Strasburg Rail Road is such a fun place to visit. They not only have the Santa’s Paradise Express during the holidays, but also The Night Before Christmas Train and Christmas Tree Train.

Strasburg Rail Road is so sensory friendly. My son always has such an amazing time and we have never had a meltdown while there. They do many wonderful events throughout the year. I recommend visiting them anytime you can! We never are disappointed when we go. The kids and I always have a great time!  You can get a list of all their upcoming events, all the dates and purchase tickets to ride the train or attend an event here.

Thanks Strasburg Rail Road for having us once again! We can’t wait to come back soon!
